Journal ranking1 and journal impact factors2 are derived from the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) database from 2006. Journal ranking was determined by the specific subject categories of Surgery* and Orthopedics§. The numbers of articles analyzed in this study are shown as the overall publications3 (including non-original articles) and as original articles exclusively4. Articles were assessed in all individual journals' volumes from 01/2000 to 12/2006. |
